Hi everyone…
I am relatively new to using Lutris and need some help fine-tuning my setup to get better performance for a couple of games running through Wine. Specifically, I’m trying to play The Witcher 3 and Fallout: New Vegas with mods, but I’m running into issues with stuttering and some graphical glitches.
Here’s my current setup:
- OS: Ubuntu 22.04
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 (using proprietary drivers version 535.113.01)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Lutris Version: 0.5.13
- Wine Version: Lutris-GE-Proton7-41
For The Witcher 3, the game launches and runs, but I notice a lot of micro-stutters even with settings lowered. I’ve already enabled DXVK and esync, but I’m not sure if there are additional tweaks I can make. For Fallout: New Vegas, I’m experiencing random crashes after adding some QoL mods via Vortex, though I did set up a custom wineprefix for the game.
I also check this: https://forums.lutris.net/t/need-help-managing-steam-through-wineaws-devops But I have not found any solution. Could anyone guide me about this? Are there any recommended settings for these specific games, or perhaps a better Wine version I should be using? I’d also appreciate tips for debugging crashes. I’ve read that sometimes setting certain environment variables can help, but I’m not sure where to start.
Thanks in advance!
