Zbrush 2018.1 through Lutris

Ok, I know - Lutris is meant mostly for launching games.
But as my knowledge how WINE works and howto use it without app like Lutris / Playonlinux is basically non existent maybe someone will be able to help me out.

Has anyone managed to get Zbrush 2018.1 working through Lutris on a system with Nvidia card (in case that matters)? I’ve got it to install and I’ve been able to verify install manually (online activation didn’t work as Zbrush was unable to open a browser and forward me to activation page). The app starts and the interface looks to be working. But sadly, the main part is not - viewport in which you sculpt displays something weird:


(there should be a 3d view in the centre, not some “interlaced” lines)

I don’t see anything seriously out of place in the log except:

Any ideas what can I try to get it behave correctly?
I’ve been able to get most of my 3d work on Linux (most of the 3d apps have native versions), but sculpting in Zbrush is a sore point.

Forgive me if this is a foolish question, but have you installed the package for your distro which includes p11-kit? It seems like Wine is having trouble finding it.

I’m interested in your results, as I also use Linux for all of my heavy multimedia work, and would like to be able to use ZBrush without a total restart.

So it runs and you can do quite a lot. Sadly there are issues.
First the one I don’t think has a workaround as of now - certain multithreaded ops get stuck / slow to a crawl after certain polycount (for example dynamesh - and btw the same file works fine on Windows).
Secondly the one that actually has a workaround - if you use your pen to access file operations (save etc) the app stops recognizing pressure sensitivity. But luckily you can use mouse for those and then pen keeps on working as it should.
Sadly the first one is a biggie - and while I use Zbrush on Linux from time to time, I do it only for quick tasks, where connecting my windows laptop wouldn’t make much sense.
Shame - fully working Zbrush on Linux would be amazing. So far Linux turned out to be better environment for 3d on my end (apps seem to run a bit faster (!) and the extra filesystem options turned out to be such a time savers).
