World of Warcraft lag & choppiness while in combat on Wine-Staging-Tkg 10.6

Hi Lutris team,

I recently was encountering an issue related to the battlenet launcher experiencing some sort of issue where the app was unable to update which was resolved by updating wine to: “Wine-Staging-Tkg 10.6”. Once I updated to that with ProtonPlus the update was fine and I could play WoW.

Unfortunately what appears to have regressed is gaming performance. I am now seeing when I am in combat and moving around the game becomes extremely laggy / choppy. It’s bad enough to where the game is nearly un-playable, unfortunately.

This is my first time logging / posting on the forums so I’m eager to learn and help fix!

If anyone ever needs this information what ended up fixing me up is switching over to Fedora for my linux OS.

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear Fedora worked out for you — sometimes a clean switch to a different distro really does the trick. Appreciate you sharing what solved it in case someone else runs into the same issue.
