World of Warcraft eventfd: Too many open files

I installed battle.net via latest Dox installation. I have the latest Lutris version. All my drivers are up to date and vulkan seems to work fine (having installed both 64/32bit stuff).

I am on Ubuntu 18.04, kernel 4.18.5.

II am using amdgpu kernel driver, and using Oibaf-mesa ppa graphics driver

This is a dual boot pc, so I did not install wow on Ubuntu, I located it on my Windows 10 drive instead.

I had wow working back in 7.3 when using the wine-pba, but I haven’t played wow in Linux since Legion.

The launcher starts as it should. When I press “play” under World of Warcraft, the Battle.net client closes down, and after a few moments, I get a popup saying, game is damage - try repairing bla bla (I have tried repairing, didn’t change anything).

Here is som info from the console running lutris - when I start lutris I get this:

And this is what I get when I press “Play”:

esync: write: Bad file descriptor

And now 10 minutes after I wrote this. The game just started without having changed anything. Weiird.

Thanks, I was having a similar issue and came here to look for an answer. The link that Dox posted to Esync did the trick. :+1:
