[I have recently been informed of a work around on Discord by Greenlander: “I had the same issue. Fixed it with manually downloading the SteamSetup.exe and installing it with wine and loggin in. In Lutris you have the config option for the wine steam runner to chose a custom steam location. Just direct it to where you installed it in the previous steps” unfortunate haven’t solved the original issue of wine steam failing to install through lutris, this works for now at lest wish the bug gets fully solve still at some point.]
I have recently had to reinstall Manjaro from a seprate issue I’m using kernal 5.1.8-1 now when I attempt to install wine steam it times out during the install/update faze. I can install other programs through lutris such as old school runescape and I can install steam manually through wine. However through lutris I wine steam give me “fatal error steam must be connected to the internet” I have a internet connection the whole time. Here is the terminal output…

I have tried to reinstall lutris, I have read online I should have wine mono and wine geko installed globally i tried that as well still same thing. I seems to only be wine steam having this issue. Any advice would be appreciated.
