I have been using the Lutris script (Armored Warfare - Lutris) to play Armored Warfare (‘AW’) on my Linux Ubuntu PC.
While the script has never properly installed the game, I can run the game with the installer open and it plays well, that is until the latest AW update (July 24). With that update there was some issue with VC++ on Windows that needed a fix of some type.
Anyway, the Lutris script will run the AW launcher and that starts the game (as before). It connects to server then hangs at an ‘Authenticating’ screen and goes no further. (As a test I can run and play the game OK on a windows PC - but as it is a low spec laptop it really is unplayable, however I know AW works OK).
Question1/Help - anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?
Question2 - AW are changing to their own launcher, a test one has been put out. I know NOTHING about Linux and Lutris or Wine - Is there anyone out there who is making a Lutris (or other wine) script for the new launcher?
Thanks
