[Uplay] Assassin's Creed 1 black screen

Hi all!

When I launch the Uplay version of Assassin’s Creed I watch the intro movie, the screen goes all black. I can hear the background sounds but can’t see anything. After some time of no activity, the intro movie starts playing again and then I get the black screen again.

Using ArchLinux with kernel 5.6.5, NVidia GTX1080Ti with the latest NVidia drivers, I tried both Assassin’s Creed and Uplay installers on Lutris.net - both of them end up the same.

I tried launching in a virtual desktop with 4:3 and 16:9 resolutions, but I got the same issue.

Please help!

Hello @Peshyy, try installing d3dcompiler_47 with winetricks.
