Unable to start lutris

Hello, I have a problem when I’m trying to start lutris on ubuntu 20.04. When I’m trying to start it from terminal the output is:

It also shows the dialog that it’s starting up but nothing happens:

Thank you for your help

That’s weird. You shouldn’t have a permission problem in the user’s home folder.

But it might actually be crashing from this sqlite3.OperationalError: no such table: games

I don’t know what happened there but it looks really messed up. The only thing I can think of is to wait for an update and see if it fixes it, remove Lutris and all leftover Lutris files in the hidden user folders then install it and try again, or try using Lutris from github.

Make sure you’re not trying to start it from root user though (su/sudo).

I have already removed every single file (lutris, cache, local, config files, etc…) multiple times and installed again. I also tried to install it from tar.xz package but the same problem occured again. I don’t know what to do…

Just guessing here…

test your python installation.

Double check permissions on that folder, although I think other things would be messed if they were wrong
chown -R $(whoami) ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor
chmod -R 664 ~./local/share/icons/hicolor
