The Sims 4 Legacy Edition question

hello. first of all, forgive the newbie questions. i’ve installed Origin (using this: https://lutris.net/games/origin/) and The Sims 4 without problems, it launches and works. but my current computer is old. so the game has the option to change to 32-bit from within Origin. changing this option and then launching the game does nothing. the .exe starts, i can see the task running, but nothing else and no errors.

since Lutris used a 64-bit prefix, wouldn’t the 32-bit version be able to run?

before installing Lutris i’d enabled 32-bit architecture and installed Wine (staging branch).

let me know if i can add any more info. thank you for your time.
