I can’t get games to install to the SD card with Lutris FlatPak. They install fine when using the internal SSD but when I try to install using the .exe (windows installer) file it starts then stops with the .exe never starting. If I check in the path it does create the start of the prefix with the name of the game as the folder and a few sub folders such as C drive etc etc and a pfx lock file among a few others but nothing else. But of course the .exe installer file never started to add more files anyway.
I click the + on the upper left, select the SD card’s installed games directory, then set the .exe file and hit install. But as I said it gets started then stops without actually running the .exe installer file.
I have tried multiple versions of compatibility tools installed using ProtonUp-Qt. I have tried lutris versions, proton, GW-Proton (my main version I prefer), wine, no difference. Although some work even less freezing when clicking the install button instead of starting saying it finished but never actually running the .exe installer.
The installer .exe file is also on the SD card in a separate downloads directory. Where I am installing to is a games installed directory.
The card is mounted and I can save other files to it, or load files. Dolphin shows it fine and all the files on it. It is a 256gb exfat formatted card. I have steam games on it which run fine as fine so I know the card is working.
I have used flatseal to give Lutris permissions adding
/run/media/deck/3234-6434/
and toggling the (host) file switch at the top of the file section but no change
I have also tried:
/run/media/
/dev/mmcblk0p1
But no change. I know I am missing something but I have no idea what.
