The launcher runs fine, but when I click “play game”, a new invisible window “Star Citizen” will open in the middle of the screen, and hang indefinitely without anything happening. Meanwhile the launcher claims that I’m now playing the game. :-p

Similar situation.
After clicking “launch game” one small windows opens, load for about 2secs and after that another opens (yellow, orange background, star citizen logo…). But then it goes back to the launcher that shows the message, that I have to verify the game files.
Don’t know what to do…
