[Solved] MTG: arena can't load graphics

Hey guys, I am on Linux mint 19.1, fresh install. I installed wine staging and lutris and attempted to install MTG: arena. I went through the installation process but when I run it a blue splash screen comes out and says:

    Failed to initialize graphics.
    Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date
    drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled
    3D acceleration in display settings.
    InitializeEngineGraphics failed

How can I solve this??

facing similar issue, no idea as to why. Anyone has more insights on this? Help is appreciated.

I moved to mint, what I did was: installing vulkan, going to winetricks installing dxvk 0.93 and 0.92 and enabled it. Then using winetricks I opened explorer and found to mtga.exe and ran that, the game started. Now I can run it from the lutris menu. This solved it but I don’t why.
