[solved] How to submit new/additional GOG ID for Pillars of Eternity?

I’m trying to both download and install the GOG Linux version of https://lutris.net/games/pillars-of-eternity/

If I try to import from the Lutris client I get this error:

2019-06-10 21:27:56,772: Returning cached GOG library
2019-06-10 21:28:04,338: GET https://lutris.net/api/games
2019-06-10 21:28:05,135: No game found for 1207666813

I’m guessing that this edition of the game is not in the Lutris database https://www.gog.com/game/pillars_of_eternity_definitive_edition - how do I submit it?

In general, I’m missing a “from scratch” guide to submitting both a game and installer. Is this documented somewhere?

(I’ve found https://github.com/lutris/lutris/wiki/How-to-write-install-scripts the guide to writing installers themselves.)

I’m pretty sure that GOG has separate IDs for different editions of the same game (which is why a game I already own can still sometimes show up in a sale list as unowned). So I would guess that the GOG ID for Pillars of Eternity is taken from Hero Edition, and the Definitive Edition needs a separate one. I don’t know if it’s possible to have two GOG IDs on a single Lutris game, but regardless, there’s no way for regular users to add a GOG ID to a game. You’ll need a moderator’s help for that.

As for your question…

To register a new game, you need to open games list, click the bright orange “Submit a new game” button, fill the form, click the blue “Submit” button, and wait for it to be approved. To register a new installer, open the game page, click “Write a new installer” link under the list of installers, fill the form, click the blue “Submit to moderation” button, and wait for it to be approved. If you want to test if it works first, you can click “save draft” instead, and then you can run it from installer list (it’ll be hidden so you’ll have to click the “show drafts” link first).

@LeXofLeviafan Thanks! I’ve submitted the game, and I can see that I can already submit an installer while it’s waiting for moderation.
