Doesn’t work. I get the same errors when installing Sims4 after installing Origin.
you are right! it didn’t work.
I worked once or twice on KDE neon and then didn’t work again.
I made a quick fix, replace the VC++ stuff with a fake one (as someone suggested on the wine forum) that returns a successful install to the Origin installer.

I tested it. “fake ms-vc++”
but it does not work for me.
I still have the same error message “vc ++ … is not installed”
sorry for delay in replying. I’ve got a 16month old in the house. games are less than priority now
you have to let the installer fail then before trying again replace both sets of vcredist_x64.exe vcredist_x86.exe then try again… I’ve just tried it and it “works for me” ™
Hi. These errors are due to broken vcrun installation and as of right now there isn’t really a way around this other than including both dotnet20sp2 and vcruns. With this the game installs and plays just fine.
