Proton-GE missing VKD3D and other options on native Fedora Lutris (but works fine on Flatpak)

Hey folks,

Running into a strange issue on Fedora with the native Lutris (installed via dnf). When I use Proton-GE as the runner, I only get a limited set of options like DXVK under runner settings. Stuff like VKD3D, D3D Extras, NVAPI, etc., are just not there.

Here’s the weird part:

  • If I use Wine-GE inside the same Lutris install, all the usual toggles (VKD3D, D3D Extras, etc.) show up fine.
  • If I use the Flatpak version of Lutris + Proton-GE, all options show up as expected.

I also tried sideloading other custom runners like Bleeding Edge Proton and CachyOS Proton builds, and same issue there — limited graphics options, only DXVK shows.

So, looks like this only affects Proton-based runners on the native Fedora Lutris, but not Wine-GE or Flatpak installs.

Anyone know what could be causing this? Maybe something Fedora’s Lutris build is missing?

Attaching screenshots for reference.

Thanks!
