Possible to write installers to use Proton + shipped with it D9VK?

Is it possible to write an installer that sets launch options for a Steam game (like PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command%). Proton 4.11 is shipped with with D9VK these days, so why not use it?

Sample games: A Hat in Time, Rayman Origins.
