DId you mount the DVD with CDEMU?
CDEMU mount virtually all CD/DVD images.
Once image mounted, click on “autodetect”
If “autodetect” does not work, use “Browse” and select the CD/DVD folder
I downloaded the iso file but I don’t fully understand how to install it
Common desktop environments like KDE (used f.e. on Steamdeck in desktop mode), Cinnamon (e.g. Linux Mint) as well as GNOME (e.g. Ubuntu) come with everything you need to mount an image.
On KDE: Right-click on the .iso file → Mount/unmount image
On GNOME & Cinnamon: Right Click → Open With → Disk Image Mounter
The disc should then pop-up in your file browser as additional drive. Selecting “Autodetect” will pick up on that and the installation continues.
I’m on endeabouros and using cinnamon, so it doesn’t work.
I’m on endeavouros and tried to download it from the aur, but it didn’t work.
it doesn’t even open
Check if you have gnome-disk-utility
installed. It’s the tool used in the background for it, perhaps not contained Arch Linux’ meta-package of Cinnamon (or EndeavourOS respectively).
sudo pacman -Syyu gnome-disk-utility
thank you so much.
