Need for Speed: World (Soapbox) no Linux

  • Launcher Version: Latest Unix.Release_2.2.2.zip
  • Operating system: Arch linux
  • Wine Installation:
sudo pacman -S wine-staging winetricks
  • Lutris + Gamemode Installation:
sudo pacman -S gamemode lib32-gamemode lutris
  • Make the sound work in the game:
sudo pacman -S apparmor lib32-libpulse lib32-libsndfile lib32-libasyncns

Need for Speed: World via Lutris:

  1. After creating the prefix via Lutris, do not click on Launch, click on Close and then go to settings and change the Wine version to WineHQ Staging (9.9 (Staging)) in the Runner Options tab.
  2. Install the vcrun2019 and dinput8 packages via winetricks in the prefix
  3. When opening the game launcher, enable LZMA Downloader, Alternative WebCalls.
  4. After the game is downloaded via the launcher, go to the launcher settings and disable Proxy, Discord RPC. Now check GameFiles, after that go to Edit UserSettings. The most important thing in this tab is to enable Windowed and disable Visual Damage.

  1. Depois de criar o prefixo pelo Lutris não clique em Launch, clique em Close e depois vá para settings e altere na aba Runner Options versão do Wine para WineHQ Staging (9.9 (Staging)).
  2. Instale via winetricks no prefixo, os pacotes vcrun2019 e dinput8
  3. Ao abrir o inicializador do jogo, ative o LZMA Downloader, Alternative WebCalls.
  4. Depois que o jogo for baixado pelo iniciador, vá para as configurações do iniciador e desative o Proxy, Discord RPC. Agora verifique GameFiles, depois disso vá para Editar UserSettings. O mais importante nesta guia é ativar a Janela (Windowed) e desativar o Visual Damage.
