Multiple Installs of winesteam... why?

winesteam has been installed and most games will install to it. I am trying to install DMC: Devil May Cry, but it wants to install winesteam all over again. Any ideas on how to stop this? Any ideas on why?

I thought this was the intended behavior. Creating a new prefix for each game because it may need different settings.

No. If a new prefix is needed, it is for that game but uses the winesteam install for downloading.
