I rrecently updated to Mint 20, and I am not able to launch Lutris. When I attempt to launch from a terminal I receive the following information:

2020-07-21 11:58:58,855: MAME isn’t installed, can’t retrieve systems list.
The launch just hangs here and the Lutris window never opens.
I have never had MAME configured to run in Lutris. In fact, I have never had MAME installed on my Mint desktop PC. I tried installing MAME anyhow, but this message persists. I also tried purging Lutris and all config files located in .config and /local/share yet this message persists.
After a bit more research it seems this MAME message is normal. After a purge and manually removing any stray config files I was able to get Lutris to launch.
That is funny, I do have mame installed and all the games, “My” mint OS distro is 10 years old an all years upgraded to the latest version Mint OS. Now I am running Mint OS 20.
I 've got Lutris for two years om my pc. Last week I tried to install Origin becaus of Burnout Paradise remastered, but can’t get the game running. Thats a other story.
I get the same message: ( sort off) and do not know what to do with it.

Its running. Also Origin is running with it. and Epic Games.
Only this one game woun’t run.
WithIn Lutris is a small gear on the left. all do I had Mame installed it seems to have its own installer. after I installed it from lutris and the start message is gone. ( I now got an other one )
EDIT: I dont know what happened, but everything is working now
I’m getting the same error, lutris won’t start…
I wasn’t having any problems like this before. Lutris used to start and every installed game too, but today lutris started and epic games didn’t. Then I’ve kill the process and tried again… I got this error

you can install mame within lutris. if it says its needed, but mame is an other game library for older 2d games untill 2002 like steam epic or origin but its not a store.
