Lutris does not respect system-wide Wine default when installing game from GOG

I am trying to install a Windows game from GOG. Even though my default Wine version is my system one (Staging 9), Lutris insists to download wine-ge-custom.

Log output: NoPaste - No-database paste service

JSON report file: NoPaste - No-database paste service

Yes, I did press the save button. The default option after a new installation was system-wine.

Because lutris wine version is set in lutris, and while you have selected your system staging to run, your versions.json file still requires wine-ge8-26 in order to process the initial installation of the game.

Looking at your log, this is a Steam game - what exactly are you trying to do?

I compiled my own Wine version with optimizations that I want Lutris to use. This what not a Steam game, it was a game from GoG. I don’t know why my log files contain something about Cultist Simulator: this was not even the game I tried to install. It is the right log file though, because I only tried to install said GoG game at the time.

I kind of solved it by creating the right symlinks into ~/.local/share/lutris/runtime for Lutris to recognize my system installation.
