I just installed it through the Ubuntu store, and can’t seem to find other instructions anywhere, so maybe I’m missing something. Every time I open Lutris, I get a “not responding” error but if I wait it seems to load and I can click around. I’m trying to install the EA app because all of the Sims 4 content I’ve already purchased is on there (didn’t know they’d put it back on steam, yay for me…) and that’s what I’m trying to do. I click the “Source: Lutris” and search for EA App, and click install. I’m given the window, I click through, and hit install and then… nothing. The install button disappears, and it says “installing” at the top, but it sits there and does absolutely nothing. No error, no anything. Just…sits there. If i hit cancel, it asks to stop the installation. There’s no progress bar or anything to indicate progress is happening.
I have installed absolutely nothing so far and an decently new to Linux. I do have wine installed across the system and have used it for other things so wine shouldn’t be the issue.
EDIT: uninstalled lutris. wine had an issue needing update; I’d been encountering an error based off of a typo on the official wine page of “unable to locate package winehq-stable”. you leave out “hq” for anyone else having this issue. I’m sure this is common knowledge for people but being new to linux I didn’t know. I reinstalled lutris through terminal instead of the store and now I have no issues, it looks different, and actually seems to function lol…
