Lutris auto-update?

yeah; i know about ubuntu/repositories; but could lutris start with some sort of thing that checks for a new update?

I don’t understand exactly.
Doesn’t the entry in the repositories mean, that it will be updated with all other software which has repositorie entries?

I know but I run / test Lutris on several distributions; and some aren’t Debian / Fedora based so I have to update those manually atm; I just thought it’d be nice if at start up it’d check for any possible updates for those of us who use github (I guess I could just throw git pull in a cron …)

There is some code currently in Lutris that will allow such a thing. Some distros don’t always keep up to date (Gentoo, Solus) and I’d like to display a message when users are using an outdated version.
