Linux Mint / Lutris

Hello all
Today I installed Lutris on my Linux Mint Distribution. I already installed Steam some time ago and it’s working properly.
When I was trying to add Steam games to Lutris it wants to install Steam again!?
I stopped the installation, cause I don’t want to crash my running system.
Is there a way to tell Lutris, that there is already an existing Steamversion?

Thanks
Dennis

This happened to me as well, i think this is because Lutris is installing the Windows version of Steam that is usually reserved for games and mods that don’t work with the Linux Steam version.

How have you installed Lutris? Deb or flatpak? If deb, have you used the version from the repos or the one from the Lutris website?

No, Lutris should integrate nicely with the Linux variant of Steam.

I personally used the version from the Software Manager. I suppose one should use the version from the Lutris website to avoid most problems ?

Yes, I’d certainly recommend using the file linked on the website.
