Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris DirectX 11 error

Used the installer for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris from Wine Steam.

When running the wine steam launcher I get a pop up window box

“Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris Error”

This game requires a DirectX 11 capable graphics card. Your card or driver does not support DirectX11.

This is with
Ubuntu 17.10
nvidia 384.111

Any advice ?
GTX 1080

Try installing dx11_42 and 43 through winetricks? Also you should really update to 390.25. 384 and 387 are both affected by a vram bug.

Wine staging-3.3-X86_64
Installed nvidia 390.25

RightClick on the game -> Winetricks -> Select the default wineprefix
-> Install a Windows DDL or component.

d3dx9_nn all are checked.
d3dx10_nn both are checked.
d3dx11_43 is checked already.
d3dx11_42 is unchecked. Make it checked and click OK

Same DirectX 11 error as above.

Re-open winetricks again
d3dx11_42 is still unchecked.

Am I doing something wrong?

Update - Fixed error message about Directx 11 but game now crashes.

Went into Winetricks -> “Select the default wineprefix” -> Run winecfg

In the Libraries tab the are two overrides (from a previous game that needed only directx 9)

d3d10 (disabled) --> changed to -> (buildin)
d3d11 (disables) --> changed to -> (buildin)

Starting the game now brings up the initial game config menu, this is much better, set the resolution to 1080.
Clicking on ‘Play’ , for 1/2 a second you get a flash of a black full screen and then it drops out leaving just Steam running.

What else can I try ?
