I’m attempting to install the eve online launcher, but it errors out on install. The instructions say to use wine 10, and the debug logs seem to be using lutris/runners/wine/wine-ge-8-26-x86_64/bin/wine, and I have no idea why. I set the runner to use system wine (10.0)

  1. install wine-staging for your Linux distribution
  2. in Lutris, set WIne default version to “system”
  3. try again to install EVE Online

I’ve updated to Wine 10.3, using staging but still get a similar error:

you installed Wine 10.3 but, in your log, I can read:

Started initial process 15664 from /home/alexa/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/wine-ge-8-26-x86_64/bin/wine /home/alexa/.cache/lutris/installer/eve-online/setup/eve-online-latest+Setup.exe

So “Wine system” is not set as default Wine version for Lutris.
