I’m asking about the future of Lutris. there is no major update planned. Previous upgrade was in May.
Is Lutris still under development?

What would people use if not Lutris ? steam ?
Lutris is probably the best way to play any game on linux since it supports installation from endless amount of sources and configuring every aspect of it unlike steam where you can only choose proton version
Lutris is only a tool that allows to use runners like Proton and Wine very easily, so its more important for runners suck as Wine to be maintained and developed
People would just use Wine and few others runners to run games like Lutris does, but it would be a little harder and not beginner-friendly
