Installing an Itch.io game fails with “Access denied”

I can see my Itch.io games in Lutris, but when I click on one to install it, I get the following:

Access to https://api.itch.io/games/{$redacted}/uploads?download_key_id={$redacted} denied

How do I fix this? It seems like a simple thing on my end.

To answer my own question:

• log out from Itch.io in Lutris
• log back into Itch.io in Lutris
