Installer for win32/64 app that requires optical disk?

Hi

I’m trying to run RealFlight X and the installer starts up in wine-staging 4.6.1 but fail detecting the install disk.

I have it mounted with disk mounter and it is listed as a wine drive in winecfg but I’m not able to set the label.

If I add a wine drive as just a path I can set the label but still the installer fails.

My question is, does Lutris support wine installers where the win32/64 installer requires an optical disk?

Perhaps the cd is protected by DRM and Wine does not support it.

“does Lutris support wine installers where the win32/64 installer requires an optical disk?”

I don’t think it is a Lutris problem but a Wine one, Lutris is a fronted.
And yes WIne support a lot of game that need install from optical disc.
Did you found your a game compatibility result on Winehq ?

You can open a Wine bug here:
https://bugs.winehq.org/

What I meant is, is there a syntax in the Lutris installer where you can specify an optical disk?

I’ve just tried using the actual disk instead of an image and now the installer works.

But how would I specify an optical disk when writing a Lutris installer?

Think I found it:

  • insert-disc:
    requires: “setup exe”

There have been a couple ISOs where disk image mounter didn’t work for some reason but it worked with furius iso mounter. Usually the stock disk image mounter works
