I need

Solar Smash – an extremely “entertaining” planet-destroying simulation game – seems easy to play, but running smoothly on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is a difficult journey.
I installed the game via Lutris, the installation process was fine, but when opening the game:

  • The computer hangs at the loading screen,
  • Displays graphics errors, no sound,
  • Sometimes even when entering, it jerks to the sky.
    What I’ve tried:
  • Switch to runners like GE-Proton 8, Wine-Staging
  • Turn on/off DXVK, Esync
  • Install all libraries via Winetricks (d3dx9, vcrun2015, xact)
  • Run in a window, lower the resolution
  • View logs in Lutris, only see a few OpenAL warnings (sound)
  • All of which failed to save the experience.
    Computer configuration:
    Ubuntu 22.04 | Ryzen 5 3600 | GTX 1660 Super (NVIDIA Driver 550) | Lutris 0.5.15
If you’re someone who has successfully destroyed dozens of planets on Linux, please help! Share your config, tricks, or anything you’ve done. I’m really going from destroying planets to wanting to destroy… computers!
