Hello World,
I have 2 issues that I need your help with please:
-
How can I make/force Lutris to actually delete the files when I right click something and select Remove? Right now it just sends them to /home/vikings/.local/share/Trash. I’ve had several instances where I ran into problems because my disk was full and I didn’t notice…
-
I’m trying to run a browser to see if it will work well enough to do what I need it to do, but I can’t even install it, I get error 256.
I did what I could from the “Please read before asking for help” thread, here are the files, if you need anything else let me know.
Thank you.
Simply close down Lutris, go to games directory, select the game directory where game is installed and and press SHIFT + DEL
to permanently delete it without moving to trash.
I see, and doing it like that won’t leave any leftovers(like config files, etc.) in other places that could cause problems as they pile up, yes?
There won’t be leftovers because next time when you run Lutris the game that you manually deleted will be reported as “missing”, then you simply right click → remove → uninstall it and that will remove it from library which also removes leftovers which are:
- One
*.yml
file in ~/.local/share/lutris/games/
- And a path to game set in
~/.cache/lutris/game-paths.json
The only other remaining leftover regardless of delete method is ~/.local/share/lutris/banners/
which stores downloaded banner images, but these are not part of a game but files downloaded by Lutris.

Ok, cool, thank you very much.
Now if we could find a solution for my browser issue too, things would be just perfect!
