proton-ge has keyboard issue fixed for GTA5.
To install it in Lutris:
How to use proton-ge in Lutris:

  1. download proton-ge from Github
    https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases
  2. extract proton-ge archive to this folder:
    ~/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine
  3. move all content from “proton-ge/dist” folder to main “proton-ge” folder
  4. relaunch Lutris and proton-ge is now available in Lutris Wine version list

With proton-ge there’s still an issue, not with the keyboard, that came with the newest GTA update. Now you can’t connect to other players, so you always play solo. The developer of proton-ge is aware of the issue, so we’ve just got to wait and keep an eye on proton-ge’s GitHub page. Until then, you can enjoy story mode or solo online.

This doesn’t work for me. Whenever I try to launch GTA V through Epic Games using Proton or anything apart from Lutris executables, it will stop running after 2-3 seconds. No windows pop up at all.

keyboard input still freezes the game for me even after the glorious egg roll fix. I have tried lots of different solutions for the issue and have had none of them work. Has anybody fixed it?
