I install yet in the moment genshin impact via heroic games launcher, that works better for me.
flatpak install heroic games launcher.
flatpak install flatseal, and allow heroic to search files on your filesystem.
you need a epic account its free, than you can look in the shop on the left side and search genshin impact, take it for free.
klick install and the launcher will be downloadet.
After that you open the undermenu of genshin impact near the play button, scroll down to the end and install the exe of the last VC_redist.x64 that you can download here. https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Set wine proton to 8-20
Now you can klick play and download the game, it is a very low connection and neeeeed very long time. Sometime it stops but no worry about, it is very slow.
If it stops because your filesystem is not big enough, is will install on a Z location, change it to c:
If you play the game the first time, and you see no password typing in the field, no worry type in and it works.
If you have an older graficcard take wine proton 8-20 not newer.
Tipp, if you want to open links set firefox as standart webbrowser, that works better.
