Game crashes on startup [Mafia definitive edition]

hello!

so i was wondering if it can be played cause im getting this error here

it closed on startup, looks like its starting but it is imidiatly shuts down.
error starts on Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Category does not exist. i think

Its a .Net error. People report it on ProtonDb.com too.

The best option would be to run it using the Glorious Eggroll Proton build.
