Dumb beginner question

I have been using Fedora Linux for about a year after dumping Apple for good. It’s been a learning curve but I am still just a noob compared to most tech-heads here

the ONE thing I can’t survive without is CCTV software called iVMS-4200 (Hikvision). It’s a windows exe or Mac dmg. I was toldby a Lutris user that Lutris could probably help. Bottles doesn’t work, won’t run the program. So I thought I’d ask before going further.

I have an iVMS-4200 exe installer. Is there a way to try installing it and see if it works? I did try, but not really sure if I did the right things and seems like a lot to learn. To save time I wondered if someone might be able to say ‘yes it should work’ or ‘no it won’t’.
Thanks

Ok so I won’t claim to be an expert on the topic but in my experience security software or software with security built in generally doesn’t allow you to run it in wine, out of fear you might be trying to mod it

You can try by using “Install a windows game from an executable”, if that fails you could try an actual windows emulator like virtualbox or docker but that’s not something this forum can help you with

Lutris is mainly meant for games tbh, I’m not saying it defenetly won’t work but your odds aren’t great
