DRM free steam game guide

Is there a guide for launching steam games without launching steam using protondb? If there is not, could there be?

Specifically right now I’ dlike to play dawn of war without launching steam*, but after configuring lutris to look for the darkcrusade.exe executable, I get

run-detectors: unable to find an interpreter for /home/sean/extra/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Dawn of War Dark Crusade/darkcrusade.exe

Presumably, there’s a wine/protondb launch prefix I need to use, but I have no idea what that is.

Thanks!

Ok, I’m making some progress here. Although currently it’s downloading a new copy of the game and required a login to steam, rather than using my existing copy, which isn’t ideal.

Also, now I’m not sure if it’s gonna launch steam to play it always? Which I’m trying to avoid.

Hi. This game DRM-Free in Steam? If game has steam drm, steam CEG DRM or other DRM you need login in steam to play this game.
