Yeah it does look like something with no solution pending - sorry we couldn’t get a better outcome.
I just wanted to say i had a similar issue on POP OS 22.04 (but my laptop has a discrete nvidia gpu “RTX3050”). I was struggling, installing stuff, etc. Finally setting in the power manager the discrete GPU always on, solved my issue (I was a lucky guess).
Maybe someone in search for this same issue can find my experience usefull
