Command and Conquer (1995) unable to set the video mode

I installed via the Wine Gold edition version found on the Lutris site. It installed fine, but when launching I get the “unable to set the video mode” error and it crashes.

Here is my Lutris Issue Report

Here is my lutris -d terminal output

This is my Output log (new users can only post 2 links):

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having the same issue here.

The following fixed this issue for me - in my old lutris 0.5.3 as well as in a more recent version 0.5.12 (on Debian 10): Configure lutris to run the game in window mode, but be carefull when choosing the resolution. The best I got is 1024x640 - trying 1024x768 failed again. Lower resolutions like 800x600 or 640x480 should also work - the native resolutions for that game.
BUT: I also had installed the patch cc95v106c_r3_u4.exe to achieve higher resolutions than the native ones.
