i cant help you with that i don’t have any experience with that OS to know how it works. i use GStreamer myself, and i don’t have the problem, but then again, I’m also on POP!_OS.

just to add, I tried to run games with Heroic games launcher (that relies on wine like Lutris) and there’s a very peculiar log on it that did catch my attention and also confirms that the issue is related to Wine:

so naturally, I created a post in Wine forums but I cannot share its link simply because it did not get the approval yet
that’s interesting, I just changed the DE to KDE Plasma and Lutris got over the step that it fails on previously

from what i understand it has something to do with XDG_RUNTIME_DIR
have you tried to install it in wine like this

thank you, this video is very helpful especially with illegal games (I don’t have any choice, I either buy games for large sums of money, 60DT for the cheapest one, or download an illegal version) or games that exist in platforms where there are no installer scripts
