In a previous version of Lutris, it auto-download the battle.net installer & set it up.
Now it doesn’t.
Do we have to manually use WINE to install it ourselves now?
With out the debug output from lutris -d, it is hard to know what is going on
BUT
others have had issues with the arial font during installation, so check this old post I wrote to see if this helps - link
Hi,
just to add my 2 cents
Today I launched the b.net launcher from Lutris and successfully played to Diablo IV so to speak I guess that if the launcher is not starting on your machine it’s not a Lutris issue per se but more a combo of factors between Lutris and your system.
Just one more thing: the output of Lutris -d on my machine complains about some protoc library something and explicitly says that I will never be able to execute b.net… well I guess that library was not needed after all
Kind regards.
Thanks for the replies. I was more unsure/uncertain how/where to install.
If I double-click on the exe in my Dolphin/file manager then it auto-installs to default Lutris WINEPREFIX which is /home/deck/.wine
(where deck is my username)
However, it hangs around 45% downloading/updating additional files. (probably because I already messed around with the winecfg / settings)
So I created a new prefix for battle.net launcher. and it works.
Good for ya man!
To be honest in years the Blizzard launcher was a nasty beast for me: if it works works otherwise hell
Now I do not know what Lutris has done but one try one success so… it must be the year when it works
