Automagical ISO mount with wine?

is it/ would it be possible to add the ability to automount an ISO.
I’ve been playing a lot of Diablo and it would be neat to
automount the ISO and then remove it when the game exits.

if it was a Linux Game it would be a simple script but I don’t know how to mount an ISO in wine.
I’ve tried setting the extracted folder as a CDROM in winecfg but no joy.

any tips would be fantastic

At some point I’d like to add integration with CDEmu. We might add support for regular mount but that only supports the ISO format and might require the root password, which is something we avoid doing in Lutris.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

glad I’m not missing something obvious for doing this.

fuseiso provides non-root mounting of iso images – should be available on most distros.

We can add support for that too, but it looks like it hasn’t been updated in the past 10 years.

@strider Hasn’t this functionalitet already been implemented during installation? (integration with cdemu)… wouldn’t it be really simple to select and image that should be mounted on “play”, by copying this code? or am I missing something??

I think this would be an amazing addition

Forget what I said… there is no automount… just autolocation of the required files in cd-mounts…

would still be awesome though…
