Installing World of Warcraft hitting wineprefix error

When I try to install Battle.net to I have constantly hit an error and its been very troubling to get it going.

Sorry for the long post, I did the unbuntu paste but it obviously didn’t work like I intended it too lol.

  1. Confirm in about lutris that you are running lutris 0.5.17, if not then go to the downloads on the lutris.net site, follow the link for Ubuntu to download the 0.5.17 deb. In the folder you downloaded this to, in terminal run:
    sudo apt install ./lutris (press the tab key to complete the file name)
    It will complain, but should install it.
  2. You need to install the correct wine and driver dependencies based on your gpu - You do not need to include the first command that adds the PPA (nvidia or mesa) if you are not using a 40 series or 70 series GPU.
  3. Once these dependencies are in place restart lutris (reboot recommended just to be sure) and try again

ah chrome - well no idea haven’t used it - you need 32 bit dependencies for battle.net to install (both the wine and mesa) - I am not sure if the links will works as planned and I don’t know for sure if you need the ppa for ARC.
